Specifically, five votes to redirect, two to keep, and one to delete (plus the nominimation). I'd in fact construe that as a pretty decent 7/9 consensus to redirect, if we infer that deletionists would rather redirect than simply keep. I'd at any rate propose to do just that, unless there are strong objections... Alai 05:42, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
- When I close a VfD I count all proposals separately (I think it's fairest) but of course after it's closed it's always possible to do merges and redirects, and sometimes I even do that myself if I feel like being bold. So go ahead. Only two voted to keep. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 07:02, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
- Thought as much, must not be up to Full Operating Boldness myself, right now. Certainly a preferable policy to "the vote was close enough, so I'll do what I wanted to anyway". Thanks, and done. Alai 07:15, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Good. I think it's the best way. I close the VfD as "no consensus" but then sometimes I make an edit of my own labelled "being bold" so that it's clearly distinct from the VfD closure. I prefer to leave this up to other editors who are closer to the subject, though. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 13:21, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
