[edit]This article could do with subdividing, and a link to a picture of Gowon would be nice. Work also needs to be done on articles for all the First Republic personalities mentioned in the body of the entry - it really is astonishing that there are no Wikipedia entries for Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello or Samuel Akintola! Also, the Biafran War - the buildup to it, its development as a military conflict, its significance as a forum for Great Power competition, and its human cost in suffering - really needs a dedicated entry all of its own, distinct from that for the short-lived state of Biafra. --User:Abiola Lapite (Talk) â 10:45, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)
