User talk:Somebody in the WWW/Archive1
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
Railpage Forums
[edit]Yes I am the Hypernovean from Railpage, I used to use that name in quite a few places. I assume you're signed up there too - under the same name as here? There's plenty of railway/tramway articles here you could help with as well - you might want to visit the Australian wikipedians' notice board; there are some WikiProjects listed there for Australian cities that cover their transport networks among other things.T.P.K. 07:53, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I removed General Motors from the stations list - that's for the open ones. List of closed Melbourne railway stations contains General Motors.
On a different note, if you're interested, as TPK said, we could use a lot of help with plenty of these railway articles (and we've barely even started on the tramways!). I don't suppose you'd happen to know much about any of the closed lines, would you? Ambi 01:38, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I put General Motors station there as it is still physically there, just not used. M>Train referred to it as a "temporary closure" when it was closed in '02, but I don't know if it's being 'properly' closed since Connex took over.
I added a page for the Stony Point line, as well as some pages for regional stations (Some parts of the regional line info have errors. eg. it didn't list some of the stations on the Bendigo line i.e Rupertswood & Malmsbury). I'm going to try and add some info on closed / abandoned lines to Wikipedia when I have some time.

new line tables
[edit]Hello. Just wanted to pop by and say I really like the new line tables you've been adding to the Melbourne railway station entries. Nice, clean, and simple. Cnwb 03:00, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
