Crime
[edit]Morning! I have added a new topic "crime" The Jay Cee Duggard care was listed in history and I felt it would be good to mention and reference some other notable cases in the history of the area. The Zodiac killer is a tenuous edit, but it does have solid reference in both wikipedia and outside sources, so I have added it.

Cannabis Usage
[edit]The town is also renowned for its above average cannabis comsumption, which in recent decades has increased to one of the highest in the country. The rising percentage of youth in the area has helped aid in the development of this "cannabis culture".
I can't find any evidence for this on Google. I'm removing this statment from the article until somebody can back it up with a suitable citation.

It's true, everyone smokes here. That's why the casinos always have job openings, they hair drug test. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.176.188.178 (talk) 21:49, 5 June 2010 (UTC) It's 2014 and the "pot club" is always busy. I find joints on the street every day and I mean every. The bad thing is the employment: there is rampant abuse of all workers here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thea1408 (talk • contribs) 04:08, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

This article erroneously lists Mike Thompson as US Congressional Representative. However, that is no longer correct. South Lake Tahoe is now in 3rd Congressional District with Republican Kiley as the Representative. I tried, but failed, to edit this information. There is a general flaw in the Wikipedia algorithm that updates the Representative of a particular numbered Congressional District, but fails to update whether the particular city has been reassigned to a new Congressional District following the redistricting following the decennial census. The result is that the current Congressperson for the old District us shown, rather than the Congressperson for the newly assigned District.
I hope that someone with better editing skills than I will make this change. More importantly, I hope that someone who is in a position to do so will limit the current algorithm to the 4 out of 5 changes of Congress that do not involve redistricting, and find some other way of handling changes following the decennial redistricting.
