Name
[edit]Isn't the band called SikTh? RickK 23:03, Apr 23, 2005 (UTC)
- No, the band is called SiKTh. :) Jimmy Kane 18:35, May 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Scrap that, they are called SikTh, yikes. Jimmy Kane 18:46, May 22, 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think that the name should be typeset as "SikTh" (i.e. with the capital T) in the title, because this is simply how their logo typesets it, and not how it's spelt in day-to-day use. For example, "Korn" isn't always spelt "KoЯn", and so forth. I think just the regular typeset of "Sikth" makes a lot more sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.148.8.222 (talk) 01:57, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- the capitalization actually should be ignored under the terms of wikipedia and the page moved to "Sikth". but i dont know how to do that :s Yellowxander (talk) 01:07, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
Formation
[edit]According to the page, the first demo was produced (2000) before the badn was formed (2001). From my vague memory of the time I seem to remember SikTh being around before 2001... 82.6.79.160 21:02, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- yeah, I saw them at UXFEST 2000 i think...might have been 2001 actually....I can;t remember 81.106.144.182 02:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- I changed the link to a lyrics page to one which had lyrics for DoaDD as well. 81.6.227.177 12:14, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]The 'Musical Style' section is very subjective. I suggest to edit and change it.
- Totally agree. I like the band, but this has nothing to do in an encyclopedia. Added a POV-tag
- Tried to fix it using various reputable websites. Dmiles21 00:12, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well people can consider it prog, tech, math, or even avant-garde (which I consider, some as well). I think this should be settled within the genre section as disputed. We can update the musical style section with more detailed information. NaotoATG 03:20, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Split
[edit]The bit about why they broke up is totally wrong, my guitar teacher is a good friend of "Pin"'s and they broke up because of the way they were being treated by the label. Yeah, there maybe a link to the "source", but this just proves how inaccurate Wikipedia can be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.3.153.167 (talk) 22:32, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Or how inaccurate sources can be. We have to use what is reported. Doesn't matter what you heard from anyone because that is totally unverifiable. Take it up with Blabbermouth if you think their news report is wrong instead of trolling us. Rehevkor ✉ 22:55, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- the "true" reasons cannot be publicly announced due to professionalism, we have to make do with the given reasons as stated in the bands press release. Yellowxander (talk) 01:10, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
