As far as I recall, BH actually commissioned Martin Jarvis to read either "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" or "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", shortly after Radio 4 had broadcast in one go the unabridged reading of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" as recorded by Mr Stephen Fry at length between nine and ten hours. I'm not sure which, but I think "Goblet of Fire" was the latest book in the series at the time, and least likely to be "given away" on radio!
But not "Philosopher's Stone", I think, because the station had just done it!
