Production cost
[edit]- The $66 million figure is most definitely wrong. That's less than Babylon 5 (which cost $90 million for 110 episodes). It would make sense if that was the cost PER SEASON, but if that is the case you should say so! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.208.113.102 (talk) 14:08, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Episode link standardisation
[edit]I've noticed that episodes are linked in many different ways. For example:
- "Emissary" is linked as Emissary (Star Trek)
- "Melora" is simply linked as Melora
- "Sanctuary" is linked as Sanctuary (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode)
- "Heart of Stone" is linked as Heart of Stone (DS9)
While they are all valid, it would be nice to have a bit of consistency! I personally favour the last of the four, as it is explicit in the title which series it belongs to without it being too long. Anyone else have any opinions? ---- Marky1981 (sig added by Cburnett)

- See:
- Category talk:Star Trek episode stubs
- And another talk page I can't seem to find (I'm in a rush so check out some of the talk pages)
- I have standardized the Enterprise episodes ("(ENT)") and will eventually do the others unless someone beats me to it. But as courtland posted on the first link:
- It would be useful to use the generally accepted abbreviations for the series as suffixes in the case of every episode (implementing moves where needed as well).
- TOS = Star Trek - The Original Series
- TNG = Star Trek - The Next Generation
- ENT = Star Trek - Enterprise
- DS9 = Star Trek - Deep Space 9
- Thanks for considering this.

- I assume Voyager is VOY (personally prefer VOY to VGR!) Marky1981 14:04, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with this (and what I use) except maybe "(DS9 episode)" would be better to make it less ambiguous. Cburnett 13:30, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with "... (DS9 episode)" to clarify it is an episode title. E.g. "Melora" or even "Melora (DS9)" could be a link to a page about the character whereas "Melora (DS9 episode)" is unambiguously referring to an episode. This is especially relevant when linking from pages other than List of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes. Marky1981 14:04, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- If you look at the List of Star Trek: Enterprise episodes you'll see I've linked them all as "Title (ENT)" so there's no chance to link to the wrong article (such as Civilization vs. Civilization (ENT)). It's also nice to have an expected form when creating an article since it'll fit in with the rest of the links. I'd be fine with moving all episodes to "Title (TLA episode)" where TLA is one from the list above. Cburnett 18:21, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Memory alpha
[edit]Wouldn't be simpler to link directly to memory alpha? I've noticed some episodes that links to MA, but I don't see the need to dupplicate the work, since the underlying philosophy is the same. Comments? Rcog 22:51, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
- Welcome to my Wiki world. :) Not gonna bore you with the story of how it happened, but I was stuck in bed all of July and spent hours on this section of Wikipedia only to realize I probably should have been on MA in the first place. More recognition, better support, and every episode page exists already. But then again, I suppose I could technically copy my pages (this one is gonna kick ass) and post them here, since text can be used with permission. It just seems fake though, plus most people are stupid and would assume MA copied the page from here, even if it had a note saying it came from MA. --Schrei 08:35, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
Stardates
[edit]I'm curious as to what the source is for all the stardates in the list. There are several episodes in the list with specific stardates that are simply listed as "unknown" on both startrek.com and in the DVD sets. Startrek.com is probably not the most accurate source though as it also lists episodes as "unknown" which in the DVD sets are listed with stardates. Davhorn 15:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Naming conventions poll
[edit]There is an ongoing poll and Request for Comment at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television)#RfC Episode Article Naming conventions which has direct relevance to how to title the Star Trek episode articles, meaning that based on how this poll comes out, many Star Trek episodes may get moved around. All interested editors are therefore strongly encouraged to participate, to ensure that your wishes are incorporated into the consensus process. --Elonka 22:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Request Move
[edit]A Request Move affecting the naming of articles in this list is currently being conducted here. All opinions are welcome. --`/aksha 10:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Template:DS9 navigation has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --Illyria05 (Talk • Contributions) 23:07, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]Would anyone be opposed to merging Star Trek: Deep Space Nine DVDs into this article? A new column could be added to each episode row with the DVD disc number, special features could be added to the end of each season list, and the fan collections could get a section at the end, similar to List of South Park episodes. Koweja 16:24, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, there is no real reason to have them as separate articles IMO. It could be nicely merged if someone was to work on this a bit -- once the page is unprotected that is. Schrei 20:06, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Image problem
[edit]I visited this page sometime back and every episode had an image to the left of it. Now they are not there. Why? -$@ur@BH-- 11:44, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
I can't access the images as well! Did someone deleted them? Acturus 10:40, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- I suspect they were removed because they may have violated fair use. RedWolf 16:33, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Nope they are still here. They've been put to good use in episode and actors articles etc. -- Rebelstrike2005 13:53, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
It would appear that fair use of said images is restricted to the article about the episode itself now, at least based on the edit history. I'm not up to date on current Wikipedia policy, but you can take it up with the admins who were involved if you'd like. Schrei 20:03, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Rewriting the listings
[edit]I'm working to adjust the page to include writers and directors, as well as reworking the column ordering, just like I've done on List of Star Trek: The Original Series episodes. I based my changes on the featured list, List of 30 Rock Episodes. I also rewrote the entire page header, added in DVD release info (along with a picture of the Region 1 DVD set). Comments would be appreciated. Aatrek (talk) 20:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for starting. I continued on this, but couldn't finish up yet. -- Mhi (talk) 18:47, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Episode: Once More Unto The Breach
[edit]I cannot find the page for this episode anywhere! The title goes to the Henry V page. Can someone find the page and fix the OMUTB link? John D. Goulden (talk) 04:37, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Numbering of episdoes
[edit]Why does the list start at 101? GoodDay (talk) 03:05, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
I think the list should start at 1 like all the other episodes list — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.242.179.61 (talk) 17:21, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
Total amount of episodes in DS9
[edit]There is an inherent contradiction for total episodes listed on wikipedia for season 1 compared to IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106145/episodes?season=1). I have made some edits in this regards. Some more articles which are related need to be fixed as well. 37.191.205.220 (talk) 02:25, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- All the numbering for the following episodes have to be adjusted. Also the final episode is also considered a single episode (source : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0394907/) 37.191.205.220 (talk) 15:27, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
The numbering of episodes in season 4 seems off - I assume S4:E1:The Way of the Warrior was aired as two separate episodes but on streaming platforms it seems to be one continuous episode (on Netflix it is one 1h30m episode instead of having two parts). This seems to mess with the numbering of the rest of the episodes as the numbers listed on this list match up with Netflix but if you click on the actual articles they don’t - I’m unsure if I should change this article or the individual articles, or leave them all alone? Frank Raphael D. (talk) 16:15, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
Writer Links
[edit]Two episodes were written by Philip Kim, but the linked wiki page for the scientist doesn't seem to be related to the writer - can someone confirm or delink? Carju451 (talk) 03:47, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
