User talk:Sno border
Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Here are some useful links in case you haven't already found them -
If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!
With regard to your question on the Votes for Deletion page (oh, by the way, the correct place for your question is probably Wikipedia talk:Votes for deletion rather than the voting page). Yeah, the size of the VfD page is an ongoing problem - we've tried various ways of structuring the page (with sub-pages for various purposes or the more detailed discussions) but things seem to always end up being put on the main voting page anyway. You said you couldn't edit it with Netscape - I'm curious which version you're using. I use a fairly recent mozilla (as do lots of people) and it's no problem for me at all. I don't know if it works with Netscape 4.xx browsers. But the most likely cause to the edit problem you're seeing is wikipedia's ongoing slowness (caused mostly by its explosive growth, and also by some hardware problems that we're working hard to fix). This usually means that everything works, but sometimes very very slowly. For a big page like VfD this means you might end up waiting a couple of minutes for it to work (yep, far from ideal). Until the server problems are fixed (I don't know when, I'm afraid) perseverance is the only strategy, I'm afraid. -- Finlay McWalter 00:23, 25 Jan 2004 (UTC)
