Nice, I added some to the article Cfitzart 22:35, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Carceri

[edit]

I suggest the Carceri be moved to their own page; they're worthwhile studying in their own right [cf Eisenstein] and re-label the "gutted" Piranesi article a stub. Much more needs to be said about him and his contributions. Any thoughts? Disagreements? Blahm 22:48, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. --Ynysgrif 16:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The program

[edit]

Piranesi is a rendering program named after this person. There should be a link to the article of this new program, except there's no article for it. 66.41.66.213 13:26, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CS

[edit]

isn't there a popular counter-strike map named after him? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.176.160.47 (talk) 08:18, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POE

[edit]

Does anyone have a reference for this line: "Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Pit and the Pendulum' was inspired by elements of Piranesi's Prison series." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skeptict (talkcontribs) 15:36, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Carceri etching names - italics?

[edit]

Should the names of the etchings listed in Giovanni Battista Piranesi#The Prisons (Carceri) be italicised? Or are they for whatever reason classed as minor works as opposed to major works? 81.141.58.213 (talk) 21:55, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I probably won't check back here again, feel free to just go ahead and revise formatting if necessary. 81.141.58.213 (talk) 23:43, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
