Gretchaninov Concerto for flute, harp & strings, opus 159

[edit]

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I would like to find out the source for the listing of Gretchaninov's Concerto for flute, harp & strings, opus 159. I have not been able to find any references to it anywhere else. Perhaps it is an unpublished work. If so, it should be notated as such. Thank you. Jpholly (talk) 21:17, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of surname

[edit]

I would appreciate it if somebody out there could provide definitive references re: the pronunciation of Gretchaninov. I suspect that what is given here is correct (accent on the penultimate syllable) but Internet references are few and inconsistent. Some say the accent should be on the second syllable (thus rhyming with "Rachmaninoff"). Bhami (talk) 22:59, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, The CORRECT WAY HIS NAME was transcribed on his cemetery gravestone, and newspaper articles, all point to "Gretchaninoff" https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/183841040/alexander-t-gretchaninoff/photo — Preceding unsigned comment added by Valcot2018 (talkcontribs) 03:39, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
