Stub: France or Comics ?
[edit]I think this is more likely to find contributors if this listed in the comics-stub category than in the france-stub category. Any way, equivalent page in the French wiki ins't much more complete... Lvr 14:48, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- You're right, but I've had no enough time to complete the French page. I've been busy with the festical of every year, such as [1] or [2]. If you'd like to translate them into English... Helldjinn 11:21, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I won't translate everything !!! But I'll try to complete the page with a good summary of what is written in the french wikipedia. Lvr 10:20, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Official selection?
[edit]In the French Wikipedia's page on Bechdel, it notes that "En janvier 2007, Fun Home est officiellement sélectionné au Festival international de la bande dessinée d'Angoulême." I'm working on our article for Fun Home, and I'd like to add something about the book being an "official selection of the Angoulême International Comics Festival", but I'm not entirely clear on what that means. How many comics are chosen as "official selections"? Is being an "official selection" the same as getting one of the prizes? Any assistance or clarification would be welcome. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 20:07, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
What? (66.72.39.252 17:45, 10 September 2007 (UTC))
- Sorry — I figured that out a while back and forgot to report back here. It seems that each year the festival identifies several works as "official selections" of the festival. It's more or less akin to being nominated for the "Prix du Meilleur Album" ("Best Comic Book Prize"). In 2007, 44 works were "official selections", and "NON NON BÂ" by Shigeru Mizuki won the Prix du Meilleur Album. At least, that's my understanding. It would be helpful if someone with actual familiarity with the festival (and actual command of French) could ensure that this is correct, and add the information to the article. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 17:57, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
"Slightly out-of-date prize categories"
[edit]We really need a better heading than that - for starters it is WP:DATED and we'd be looking for a more succinct title. Perhaps one where the inclusion criteria is more obvious - if these are former titles then they should be under that heading if they are current ones then that should be clear too. Perhaps a simpler heading with some text explaining what the list means because just from that it is far from clear. (Emperor (talk) 01:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC))
