Afrisecal Movement
[edit]Afrisecal thought and ClanKind is the kernel and product of a new wave of renaissance sweeping across Africa called AFRISECAL movement. In whatever sphere of human endeavour you point to, you can see that a new generation of Africans are setting the pace. Whether in the realm of Computing and cyber technologies one can see men like Philip Emeagwali and Ejeckam, in politics we now have political Icons like Nelson Mandela and the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere. Long ago it was the African ( African-American?) Diasporic entertainers and athletes that painted the front pages. At one point, it almost looked like the cerebral aspect of neo cultural development of man-kind was not for us until more people like Maya Angelou and Wole Soyinka hit the scene. The truth of the matter is that walls are breaking down every day and the world as a whole is discovering what it had hitherto overlooked by allowing institutionalized racism to hold sway for so long
The African has taken sometime in getting to where it is now. Thanks to the progressive works of men like Marcus Garvey, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Dubois, Malcom X, Kwame Nkrumah, Azikiwe ,Aime Cesair and a host of others who fought to get us to the place we now sit. Afrisecal movement is a building block of continuity of the into the future. It attempts to walk where Black Pantherism, and the traditional American Civil Rights movements stopped. It is for charting a path for the future that includes all men irrespective of races. It understands that the future world will be populated by a society of people, maybe like Colin Powell and Tiger Woods.
political scope
[edit]The political front in Africa has shown great courage insetting up of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) with its praiseworthy peer review mechanism and also revisiting the visions of the founding fathers of the Organization of African by forming the African Union. These are parts of the Afrisecal flames running through the present generation of Leaders . In most of his writings, Francis Ohanyido had tried to capture the essence of the Afrisecal wind blowing through the continent and the world in general. The term ClanKind is a summative representation and personification of the Afrisecal man or woman -the sum total of the renaissance African .One may go a step further to say that going by what evolutionists tell us, Man first walked on the old continent, the ClanKind may then be representativeof all Men .
