[edit]Hello All,
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct place to be to submit this request - So, if it is not, then please forgive me.
I'm in the process of helping a friend who served on the USS Missouri 1947 through 1949. He wants to see if he can find the status and whereabouts of as many of the Medical Dept. crew that he served with. One of the most important one's is hi former Medical Dept. Chief Thomas E. Stephenson, HMC. I do know that he was from Wisconsin, and that he born somewhere between 1912 and 1924. I have found a Thomas Stephenson on the Social Security Death Index, which states that he passed away in Brooklyn, Green, Wisconsin, and that he was born on 11/24/1914 and died 11/06/1998. But there are also several Thomas Stephensen's on this list who are from Wisconsin.
I know that my friend should have started earlier with this aspiration, but for whatever reason he did not, and so here we are. I do know that it would be a great token of care and love for someone to help me and my friend concerning this cause. It would help bring closure to this for him, and who knows - Maybe, just maybe, Chief Stephenson has not passed on, and wouldn't that be terrific!
Again, if I have come to the wrong place to do this, I apologize. I'm hoping that at least one person will help us with this. If you know anything at all about Mr. Stephenson, please respond this post.
Thanks So Much
Les Thurmond
