I have no direct experience with Stratus Computer. But I did work in the Massachusetts hi-tech industry during the Massachusetts Miracle era when Stratus was a neighbor. Hopefully, somebody with more direct Stratus Computer experience will fix up whatever inaccuracies that exist on this page. Dyl 12:24, Aug 17, 2004 (UTC)
Intelligent Design Material
[edit]I am removing the intelligent design material, it is controversial and is not supported by an independent reliable source WP:RS. Please leave it out unless you are able to properly source the material. Monty845 16:22, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Didnt find which "intelligent design material" was initially described in here. The FT design was based on a unique dual bus connecting all parts of the machine like CPU, MEMORY, I/O. https://search.uspto.gov/ will list all patents of Stratus Technologies. Products and customers
[edit]"The company has a vast customer base" seems unlikely for a niche company. 78.86.162.10 (talk) 23:15, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- "vast customer base" is relative. However it does not mean its untrue for a niche company. Reveniew of $688.27m in 1998 means about 500 customers this year only based on pricelist. Over the 42 years Stratus exists, "vast customer base" means its been many thousands. Please dont compare these numbers to plain vanilla hardware vendors who can easily be replaced by someone else. It also reflects the fact that the number of industries using Stratus products is broader than with standard computers, because of the very nature of ft projects and its central importance for the customer. Example: about 20 different banks in Germany used Stratus technolgy during the 90ies for controlling their ATMs. That was nearly 100% of the market.

Products need to be updated to reflect the latest software offerings. i.e. everRun Enterprise. Some mention about software based FT should be made. (Baronvonshred (talk) 19:36, 24 July 2014 (UTC))
