Zoe. Please disappear. You are outrageous. You have quite a nerve deleting the comments i made about the city i live in, a city which of course you have never set foot in. Where do you get off deciding that having something negative to say about a topic is not allowed? Maybe you should stick to tampering with articles on subject you actually have some expertise in - and save your audience the 'im unapreciated' melodrama. Your removal of my contributions on Syracuse and Sarah Michelle Gellar constitute censorship of academically legitimate speach. Oh, poor Buffy, let no one in cyberspace dare comment that she might have no talent. Do you HONESTLY believe that such sentiments dont commonly arise when her name is mentioned in any sort of mixed company? oh, and yes- we must be above all else sensitive in describing syracuse's problem with crime.

- Zoe isn't the outrageous one here. The material Zoe removed was highly POV and written in very long sentences with little content. Please read NPOV and Wikipetiquette. I would have done the same thing Zoe had if I was the one who saw the material (although I would have added a note on the talk page explaining in detail why the material was removed - but that is just me). BTW, it is custom to place messages at the bottom of talk pages. Yeah, I know it is stupid convention but it is a convention nonetheless. --mav

I would be happy if you could provide me with the link where you found that information about Giscard. I am very troubled, because I think the way you reported the events is very misleading, to the point I think it highly not neutral. I may be wrong, but I think Giscard gave his opinion in a very much more balanced way, and gave explanations of why he thought he didnot wish Turquie to be a european country. The way you reported the information is - imho - misleading by its shortness, and very poor translation of what he actually said. I don't believe you shortened that info yourself, so I would like to know where you picked it up. Another example of the "food" given to most people about what is said in other countries. Thank you.

Please, be careful when shortening such a report. Saying from a country that "its capital is not in Europe; 95% of its population live outside Europe" is not exactly the same as saying the country is in Asia. Saying the a country has "a different culture, a different approach, a different way of life" is different from barely stating its a muslim state...and saying it would be the highest representative group is not exactly bluntly pointing out at its high birthrate. Has something to do with diplomaty ;-)
I know american people tend to be blunt sometimes. Well, you may know (or not) my country has quite a few problems with muslim people, among which people from Turkey. My country absolutely want very strong links with Turkey, but indeed some don't want it to be part of the UE (yeah, right, for the reasons stated above, and also because it is a rather poor country). I think relationships between european countries and north african muslim ones is bad enough that it is no use putting oil on it. So when somebody makes a statement that you consider "bad" (I'm sure you did), please don't, on top of it, make it look worse. The current news page is pretty well known by google, many people are likely to see it. It is not good to fan hate by reporting political statements in making them sound even worse than they really are. Please. Peace User:anthere

I appreciate everyone has different opinions on the subpages issue, but I personaly think they work well for episode entries, and keeps them together. Dear Zoe: The WBA's Super Champion concept is considered to be harmful to the sport by many boxing fans because, esentially, what it is is that, once a WBA world champion unifies his titles by beating the champions of the other organizations or vice versa, the WBA will declare the champion a 'Super Champion' and not let him defend his crown in his boxing weight again. Then, the WBA gives two other fighters a chance to become 'world champion', because the rightful champion, the one who had unified all belts, is not able to defend his championship under the wba'S 'super champion' guidelines. All this does is create more confusion to the boxing fans, and give the WBA more boxers from whom to collect sanctioning fees.
It's a new concept in the sport, and by my part I can tell you I hope it doesnt last long. I know it's complicated, but I hope I answered your question :)

No problem, even though I'm the one doing virtually all the work on the Kings of France, Paris, et al. But, please space things so people don't go blind. You have far too much together in the opening sentence(s). Knowledge is a great thing but a little marketing (design) savvy gets people to read (and hopefully) learn instead of passing over it. Some of the other sites are horrendous diatribes that are such a mumbo jumbo, most people skip them.... DW
Sorry to scrawl on your page, but I had to object to you characterizing the statement that America provided decisive support to Indonesia throughout the genocide in East Timor as 'unsubstantiated libel'. It's a well documented and uncontroversial fact. Hell, even Clinton admitted that previous East Timor policy had been terrible. A good source is this World Policy Institue report. A tiny bit of googling would have revealed this, so it seems to me you substituted "unsubstaniated libel" for "I don't want this to be true".
I agree - i'l locate Kissenger's own statements on how he justified the arms sale as Indonesian "self-defence" to get around the illegality

Hi Zoe -- thanks so much for the support. But I think you should probably not stick your neck out for me. Considering the abuse I've been getting, it's not worth it. Anyway, In the whole Pippin thing, although I absolutely believe that i am correct on the name thing (and ironically, I use the two interchangeably and have to proofread myself), in that Pippin IS what the leading scholars now tend to use, Lee Crocker is probably right that that may not fall exactly within the name conventions -- conventions that I was instrumental in putting together. Still, seeing as how the people are basically just a bunch of francophile Helgas, there's no point in going through Helga-hell in a different language. I honestly have things I should be doing instead, and if people like this are the new wiki wave, I should get back to focusing on those other things. I will gladly remove the credit. Per ending new entries with periods and commas...as far as I can note, I have not done this since the first day I started entering, when I realized the mistake. Since that date I have always made sure to keep periods and commas outside of the entry space. For example: "Like a Prayer", an album by Madonna.

I think you are referring to my hysteria comment on the mailing list. This was a reference to the "Lir again" thread on the list, where you complained about Lir deleting the contents of a Talk page. As others have pointed out, she was only cleaning up after herself. This was visible from the history of the article and the Talk page. It's understandable that you don't like Lir, but please try to communicate with her on the Talk pages of the respective articles, or just ignore her and let others do it.
Hysteria is, however, an unnecessarily strong word (and believe me, it has nothing to do with you being female that I used it -- I wasn't even entirely sure who started the thread). Please accept my apologies if I hurt you personally, I do value your contributions and hope that you stay with us. I also believe, however, that there is a danger of people being flagged as vandals/miscreants without an opportunity to rehabilitate themselves, and we should avoid that. This particular case was one where Lir actually tried to correct her own nonsense. In another case, someone vandalized Lir's comments, making them look nonsensical. So this is all not entirely clear-cut. Most of all, patience is necessary when dealing with immaturity. --Eloquence 10:03 Nov 11, 2002 (UTC)

Dear Zoe: Hi! I just wanted to thank you for letting me know that I needed to improve my articles in the neutral point of view way. At first, I just thought neutral menat to mention both the good side and the bad side, but as I kept on writing, I think I've learned to write better and what being neutral really means.
I have to admit, at first I didnt know what you meant with your comments, but at the end, your comments turned out to be very helpful to me. Just recently, I read what you wrote on talk page: Bobby Czyz and was satisfied to learn you liked it.
I have a small question: are we allowed to put our names on the birthday lists for each day, or our relatives births? I intend to put at least mine, but I dont know if Im allowed to.

- I hope Zoe doesn't mind me butting in and answering a question directed at her, but I think I'd better hastily point out that the lists are only meant for people who have entries in the Wikipedia, or are going to! At least, that's how I understand it. Of course, if you have any relatives who are considered worthy enough to be in an encyclopaedia, you can put them in. I started a new article for one of my relatives, but only because he really was noteworthy. Well, I think so, anyway.
