Viajero, why did you kill the publications section? All authors have a publication/bibliography section. user:TitaniumDreads apr 13 03:46 2005
  • also he's written several books. If anything it would make more sense to kill the first mention of "out of the ashes" since it isn't in citation form.

Irish?

[edit]

Born in Britain to British parents, but spent some of his childhood in Ireland. How does that make him Irish? 86.7.211.128 (talk) 00:17, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not the first Brit to notice that being Irish is trendier. Aussiesta (talk) 06:45, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
More seriously, I drifted here after reading the latest article he wrote for LRB, which includes some amazing assertions including that the US covertly supported the Khmer Rouge. Is there a category for deranged reviewers in Wikipedia? Should we include such things? Perhaps Mr Cockburn can show himself, under a false name, and correct the record for all time, because the Wikipedia entry for the KR includes no mention of such allegations. Aussiesta (talk) 06:50, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

O'Wikipedia can't bring itself to accept British for a nationality. Never trust wiki for a decent overview of someones heritage because it is always gonna have Irish just chucked in there somewhere despite the person in question being about as Irish as a Shaka Zulu. Nothing trendy about coming from some back water that got butt f**ked by the English for 800 years. Sorry, couldn't help myself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.147.108.222 (talk) 00:05, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
